About Poway OnStage
Formed in 1990, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation has gone by many names: Arts Alive! The PCPA Foundation. The POW! Foundation. With our Silver Anniversary in 2015, we proudly rebranded as Poway OnStage.
Poway OnStage is the non-profit organization responsible for presenting the:
- Professional Performance Series presented at the city-owned Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Each year, Poway OnStage assembles a line-up of marquee talent from the worlds of drama, dance, music, comedy and more.
- Summer Concert Series held at the Bernardo Winery
- Arts in Education programs and performances benefiting the student of San Diego County and beyond.

Professional Performance Series at the PCPA
Our performances are hand-crafted with our unique audience in mind. The state-of-the-art sound and uninterrupted sight lines earned the Poway Center for the Performing Arts a ranking as one of the counties best concert venues (San Diego Union Tribune Reader’s Poll, 2014).
Combine Poway OnStage’s unique, one-night-only performances with the PCPA’s intimate setting — where seats are no more than 106 feet from the stage — and every show is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With no more than 800 seats, there truly is no bad seat in the house! While the seating area is intimate, the theater’s vast stage hosts shows of any scale – from intimate acoustic concerts and one-man shows to full Broadway caliber productions or a 40-person dance troupe. Seating is arranged in two tiers (orchestra level and a second, mezzanine level), where patrons sit, literally, at the feet of performers, providing unprecedented closeness to the show.
The lobby is illuminated by huge, 70-foot plate glass windows. On arrival, patrons are greeted by our grand staircase and visual art displays by professional artists (for purchase). The comfort of the lobby and the grandeur of the theater make this venue a gem in the community. Additionally, the Poway Center offers free and abundant parking, a welcome respite from the battles Arts lovers endure seeking parking at other concert venues. The pre-show lobby experience includes craft beer and wine and, on occasion, pre-show performers, dance lessons and more. By creating an “arts inclusive” atmosphere, we enrich the community with quality performances, unique experiences and valuable memories.
Summer Concerts at the Bernardo Winery
Poway OnsStage has partnered with the Bernardo Winery to present an outdoor Summer Concert Series. Enjoy a Sunday summer evening concert surrounded by the Winery’s beautiful landscape, a vintage pavilion and gazebo and all shaded by decades-old olive trees.
Whether you choose a VIP table for four with wine and cheese included or opt for general admission seating, you are sure to enjoy these hand-crafted summer concerts.
